Here’s the beginning:

Now it’s in much better shape - the fenders are off, last weekend I welded in some repair sections and painted the whole thing with rustoleum rust reformer, and today I replaced all the bushings and bolts on the suspension:
Soon to be towing again! Next step is creating a mount for my hand crank winch up front. So much fun having my own welder!

Thanks. I decided a couple hundred into my old trailer would be a lot cheaper than buying a new trailer. For the amount I really use it, I think it’s the right decision. The old fenders were getting really bad amd all the bushings were wrecked.

I love that they are bronze sleeves and greaseable. Should outlast the rest of the trailer!

For sure! I was about to ask if those plates were perhaps made of aluminum, hence the extra thickness. But after a minute of Googling, I doubt such a think exists. They’re just super-beefy, huh?

Yeah. It was a whole kit, equalizer, sleeves, greasable bolts etc. I can’t imagine putting aluminum on such a critical suspension piece, but those are much thicker than the craptastic shackles I took out!
